PAIDEIA CAMPUS - POLLICA

The wealth of traditional knowledge, skills and cultural identities of the Mediterranean Diet continues to grow even after the tenth anniversary of its appointment as a UNESCO Intangible Heritage Site.

To enhance this real laboratory of terrestrial and marine biodiversity, we inaugurated the Campus Paideia. Located in Pollica, in the Cilento, capital of the Mediterranean Diet, this cultural project has its origins in the sixth century B.C. and intersects multiple disciplines.

It is here, in the heart of the Mediterranean, that we can learn a new type of sociality and live the concept of integral ecology, a regenerative approach to face the transition necessary to achieve the Agenda 2030 Goals, in models of lifestyle and development of which the Mediterranean Diet is the most concrete example.

"Pollica is an extremely symbolic place, not only is it the UNESCO capital of the Mediterranean Diet, but in this place we realize that the 2,500 years of history and a unique biodiversity in the world, teach us those fundamental elements that the Sustainable Development Goals tell us with attractive graphics but that here, in reality. We must balance man and the environment and tackle the objectives of sustainable development in an integral way, thinking from an economic, social, human, cultural and environmental point of view, through education, innovation and a new sociality. We will do it starting from the Campus Paideia of Pollica".
