The historic Castello Principi Capano, seat of the Study Centre for the Mediterranean Diet "Angelo Vassallo", is part of the ecosystem of physical and symbolic living laboratories in which the concept of paideia is manifested and concretized day by day.
This place combines the protection of gastronomic pleasure and the defense of biodiversity, pride in its own identity and awareness of the continuous exchange between cultures, love for the sea and the roots well planted in the land. Among its mighty walls rich in history and stories, we are spreading a new type of sociality that embodies the concept of Integral Ecology, of which the Mediterranean diet is a concrete example. The Castle aims to spread the systemic approach and forward-looking mentality exemplified by the Mediterranean Diet starting from the range of values that make it so sustainable: territoriality, resilience, inclusiveness, conviviality and community, our lens to design a prosperous future for Pollica, for the Mediterranean and for the Earth.
