Cilento National Park

The National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, the second largest park in Italy, extends from the Tyrrhenian coast to the foot of the Apennines of Campania and Basilicata, and includes the peaks of Monti Alburni, Cervati and Gelbison and the coastal buttresses of Monte Bulgheria and Monte Stella.

EXPLORING THE MEDITERRANEAN NATURE

The extraordinary level of biodiversity, strongly linked to the unique variability, lithology, geomorphology and climate of a territory that includes 28 Sites of Community Interest - including two protected marine areas - and 8 Special Protection Zones, is accompanied by the mythical character of a land rich in history and culture: from the call of the nymph Leucosia to the beaches where Palinuro left Enea, the ruins of the Greek colonies of Elea and Paestum to the wonderful Certosa di Padula.
